National: They impel road project to motivate tourism in Yungas
Project caminero will promote the tourism in several municipalities of the yungas.
With the purpose of motivating the national and international tourism in Yungas, the representative organizations of Unduavi, Coripata Chulumani and Yanacachi began actions to vertebrate the region, with truncate roads that will link the most important natural centers in the north of La Paz.
With this purpose, the representatives of the Civic Committee Interyungueño is working, in coordination with the Prefecture of the Department of La Paz, the proposal of vertebrating Yungas, as first step to improve the access conditions to the tourist centers of the area.
The road project seeks to sum up the tract Unduavi - Chulumani that will link several cantons of the municipalities of Chulumani, Yanacachi, Irupana, Coripata, Coroico and other important sectors of the area of Yungas.
Once summed up the linking roads will be looked for to revitalize the tourism, with the objective to mobilize the economy in several populations of Nor and South Yungas, through the benefit of services, commercial activities, hotels among others.
Emilio Clalvel, member of the Civic Committee Iteryungueño, manifested that annually the region receives thousands of visitors from the interior and external of the country who are forced to face the not well state of the roads and in other cases the nonexistence of access roads to important areas of the place.
The condition of the roads, according to the civic representative, worsens in rainy season, for the mud accumulation, holes and the uncertainty of the land in several sectors of the tract that is constituted in a danger for the travelers that traffic on the place.
In other cases the earth slips caused by the rains, block important points of the highway, blocking the step to the visitors who should wait for several hours for the accesses to be abled to continue their voyage.
On the other hand Clavel explained that “Yungas has truncate roads that would link several communities, counties and cantons; however many of these sectors are abandoned by the lack of communication roads”, he said.
He pointed out that this it is one of the problems that doesn't allow the region to explode in its integrity the flow of natural resources that possesses, recognized by its attractive paradise like that could be constituted in a focus of economic reactivation, with enormous benefits it doesn't only stop the region but also for the whole department of La Paz.
“The improvement of the roads is a step to promote the tourism in the region, with favorable results for the development in different productive areas, as the hotels, services, industrialization of local products, the trade, among other that in definitive, will vitalize the economy of hundreds of families that inhabit the region”, it sustained Clavel.
