TREKS AND CLIMBS  IN APOLOBAMBA RANGE OF THE ANDES (13 Days)

Apolobamba Andean Range

To the north of lake Titikaka, straddling the border between Bolivia and Peru, the rarely - visited Apolobamba range offers unforgettable exploration. Rich in culture, with a Kallawaya Indian population (traditional medicine - men of the Andes) and a fascinating Inca history; this place is like no other. Our trekking route traverses a wild alpine landscape and crosses high passes at 5.000 m high to continue, northwards and eastwards, into the remotest part of the range, with only condors for company. We enjoy several lovely lakeside camps and have excellent views and climb outstanding summits included Chaupi Orcko (6044 m high), the highest in the range. This is a brilliant tour through virtually unexplored territory.
